Calverton Teen Shot, Killed In Broad Daylight During Altercation

Police are investigating after a Long Island teenager was shot and killed during an altercation.

The incident took place in Suffolk County around 3:55 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, on Hill Circle in Calverton.

According to Suffolk County Police detectives, Preston Gamble, age 15, of Calverton, was involved in an altercation between two groups of teenagers and young adults when he was shot.

Gamble was transported by family to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead where he was pronounced dead.
